Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta has shared his views on Lamine Yamal’s potential and future prospects, while also reflecting on the talents of Pedri, Gavi, and his ambitions of one day coaching at Barcelona, Soccernet.football reports.

In an interview with SPORT, Iniesta was full of praise for Yamal, emphasizing the importance of careful guidance for the 17-year-old.

“He seems like an extraordinary talent to me,” Iniesta said. “At 17, he has done very important and above-average things, and now the important thing is to continue to look after him…so that he continues to develop and grow.”

Though Iniesta acknowledged Yamal’s impressive accomplishments, he stressed the need for ongoing improvement to ensure long-term success.

Iniesta also discussed his admiration for Pedri and Gavi, two of Barcelona’s brightest young stars. When asked if he sees himself in any of the current players, Iniesta dismissed comparisons, citing the uniqueness of each player.

“I don’t see myself in anyone because I’ve never felt like I was like anyone. Everyone has their own essence,” he noted, though he did acknowledge that Pedri considers him a role model.

Moving on to his coaching ambitions, Iniesta admitted he isn’t currently focused on managing Barcelona, though the possibility excites him. “Being a Barcelona coach is something big, but right now I want to improve and see what happens,” he explained.

Despite the pressures associated with coaching such a prestigious club, Iniesta remains optimistic. “These are dreams and goals that you set for yourself…you will have positive and less positive aspects, always trying to make the work you do good.”

Iniesta also expressed confidence in Barcelona’s chances of competing for trophies, saying, “I see [Barcelona as winners], and I hope it too…we will fight for everything until the end.”
