Juventus made a strong return to the Champions League with a convincing 3-1 victory over PSV Eindhoven, marking a successful European debut for new manager Thiago Motta, Soccernet.football reports.

The match witnessed a standout performance from young Turkish talent Kenan Yildiz, who scored his first Champions League goal for Juventus, setting the tone for the evening.

Juventus came out with impressive intent after a brief goal drought, with Yildiz creating immediate danger and eventually breaking the deadlock.

The home side’s dominance continued as Nicolas Gonzalez’s dynamic play on the right wing set up Weston McKennie for the second goal.

By halftime, Juventus had firmly established control with their attacking forays and tactical discipline.

The Bianconeri extended their lead shortly after the break, with Gonzalez scoring to mark his first goal for the club.

Despite making several substitutions to rest key players, including Danilo, Khephren Thuram, Nicolo Fagioli, Timothy Weah, and Douglas Luiz, Juventus maintained their strong performance throughout the match.

PSV, struggling to break down Juve’s resolute defence, managed only a late consolation goal with the final kick of the game.

Juventus’ solid start to their Champions League campaign positions them as potential contenders in this year’s competition.

Despite having two goals from Ollie Watkins and Jhon Duran controversially disallowed for handball, Villa remained assertive and clinical in their approach. The disallowed goals, which appeared to be incorrectly judged by VAR, did little to dampen the spirits of the Villa fans.

The second half saw further dominance from the Villans, with a third goal from Onana sealing a decisive win.

Villa’s energetic and precise play echoed the traits of Shaw’s celebrated career, leaving fans chanting: “We are top of the league!”
