Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag voiced his frustration after watching his side dominate but fail to find any joy in their encounter against Crystal Palace on Saturday, Soccernet.football reports.

Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes and Matthijs de Ligt went close at Selhurst Park but Palace survived United’s first-half onslaught, eventually holding the Red Devils to a 0-0 draw.

Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson produced an outstanding display against his former club on Saturday. The England international made seven saves, while Ten Hag’s side hit the woodwork three times.

“When we don’t win, I’m not content,” United manager Ten Hag said after Saturday’s Premier League draw.

“We should have won. I think first half, we ate them alive. Then in the second half, it was more in the balance but first half, we should have scored one or two goals.”

Meanwhile, the Eagles grew into the game in the second-half, creating a much more balanced encounter. United goalkeeper, having enjoyed a relatively quiet first 45, was a much more busy man in the second.

The Cameroonian impressively denied Ismaila Sarr’s rebound from point-blank range immediately after pushing away Eddie Nketiah’s rasping drive towards the bottom-right corner.

Ten Hag singled out Onana for praise. The 28-year-old has kept four clean sheets in the last six Premier League games, one more than United had managed in their previous 24 matches combined.

“We played very good [in the first half], total control of the game, in and out of possession we played very good,” the Dutchman added.

“The only thing was in the box – and in the box is the game decider – we should be more clinical there.

“They closed the midfield more and had good counter-attacks. It was more difficult for us to get through and they got more space and had some good counters.

W”A brilliant save from Andre – twice in one action.”
