10. Elliott Anderson (Newcastle to Nottingham Forest)  £35m

The Newcastle academy graduate, who only managed 13 starts from 44 Premier League appearances for the Magpies, commanded such a huge amount despite spending the bulk of last season on the sidelines with a back injury. The 21-year-old forward holds a lot of potential which Forest will be hoping he can fulfill at the City Ground.

9. Joshua Zirkzee (Bologna to Man United) £36.5m

Manchester United’s first summer signing, the 23-year-old striker was one of the break-out stars of an impressive Bologna side in the Serie A last season. The Red Devils actually paid more than the forward’s £33.6m release clause to enable them adopt a more friendly payment structure.

8. Ian Maatsen (Chelsea to Aston Villa) £37.5m

The 22-year-old left-back enjoyed a good loan spell with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, playing a significant role as die Schwarzgelben played their way to the Champions League final. This deal generates pure profit for the Blues as Maatsen is a Cobhams academy graduate.

7. Maximilian Kilman (Wolves to West Ham) £40m

The 27-year-old center-back was linked with many elite clubs before The Hammers swooped in to secure his signature. A good piece of business for West Ham United, considering Kilman’s quality and experience in the Premier League.

6. Endrick (Palmieras to Real Madrid) £40m plus add-ons

The teenage sensation will officially sign for Real Madrid as soon as he turns 18, having already agreed to a deal over 18 months ago.

5. Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa to Juventus) £42.35m

Villa were under pressure to make a major sale this summer in order to comply with PSR rules and avoid any potential sanctions in the future, hence their sale of key midfielder Douglas Luiz to the Old Lady with Villa getting a couple of players in return from the Serie A giants in separate deals.

4. Joao Paulinha (Fulham to Bayern Munich) £43 plus add-ons

Bayern successfully secured one of the best defensive midfield talents in the Premier League as their first signing of the Vincent Kompany era. Fulham may have doubled their investment in just a couple of years but £43m still feels like an absolute steal for the Bavarians given Paulinha’s quality.

3. Michael Olise (Crystal Palace to Bayern) £45m plus add-ons

After an impressive showing for the Eagles last season, the 22-year-old winger was destined to play at a much higher level in the 2024/2025 season. Of his numerous suitors, the Frenchman eventually decided to further his career at Bayern Munich under the tutelage of Kompany.

2. Leny Yoro (Lille to Man United) £52m plus add-ons

United have managed to land one of the best young defensive talents in Europe despite some initial difficulties in completing the deal due to Yoro’s preference for Real Madrid. While some fans are skeptical about United’s decision to pay such a huge fee for a teenager in the last year of his contract, others are just excited about beating Madrid to the youngster’s signature.

1 Kylian Mbappe (PSG to Real Madrid) Free transfer

Without doubt the biggest transfer of the summer so far, Los Blancos have added arguably the best player in the world to their already tremendously talented squad. Real Madrid openly courted the Frenchman in the past few years and by the time he was out of contract at the French capital, there was only ever one destination for him. The Santiago Bernabeu!
