Fulham are reportedly eyeing a move for Atalanta striker El-Bilal Toure, who became Atalanta’s most expensive signing last summer when he joined from Almeria, Soccernet.football reports.

Sources from l’Equipe and TMW suggest that Fulham want to secure Toure on loan with an option to buy. However, Atalanta are reluctant to let their record signing leave under these terms.

The Mali international transferred from La Liga to Serie A in 2023 for around €30 million.

Shortly after signing, he suffered a severe hamstring injury, causing him to miss the first 23 matches of the 2023-24 Serie A season.

Toure scored on his league debut for Atalanta in February, coming off the bench in a 4-1 win over Genoa.

From April onwards, he made several appearances, mostly as a substitute, in both the league and the Europa League.

Atalanta celebrated a successful season by qualifying for the UEFA Champions League and winning the Europa League, defeating Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the final. Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman scored all three goals, becoming the first African to score a hat-trick in a European Cup final.
