Premier League hotshot Erling Haaland has refused to be drawn into contract talks with Manchester City following another outstanding campaign at the Etihad, Soccernet.football reports.

The Norwegian striker joined Man City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022 and has quickly become a key player at the Etihad Stadium. Haaland, 23, played a vital role in City’s historic treble win in the 2022/23 season. Despite a less impressive season by his standards, he still ended as the Premier League’s top scorer, helping City secure their fourth consecutive league title.

Haaland has been prolific, scoring 90 goals and providing 15 assists in 98 appearances for City. His current contract runs until 2027 when he will be 26.

In a recent interview with Norwegian channel TV2, Haaland dismissed any ongoing contract talks with Man City, which may concern fans of the club. “I’ve had two fantastic years and have three years left. That’s really all I can say,” he said. When pressed about contract discussions, he reiterated, “That’s all I can say, what I just said.”

Haaland has previously mentioned his ambition to play in various countries, and with his contract expiring at 26, he may consider a move to Spain. Reports from AS via ESPN suggest Haaland envisions himself playing for Real Madrid. However, with Real Madrid’s recent signing of Kylian Mbappe, such a move might be on hold for now.
