Top 5: Juventus’ best players of the 2023/2024 season

The Old Lady have endured another difficult Serie A campaign this season, failing to put up any sort of challenge for the Scudetto as Inzaghi’s Inter Milan cruised to a 20th Serie A triumph.

Juventus’ league campaign has been a tale of inconsistency and questionable tactics as they sit in fourth place, level on points with Bologna who place third thanks to a better goal difference.

However, fans of the club can take solace in the team’s Champions League qualification and Coppa Italia triumph at the expense of Atalanta, their first trophy in three years.

Juve’s Coppa Italia win was accompanied by drama as head coach Max Allegri was sent off late-on after furiously taking off his jacket and confronting the fourth official. The club has since cut ties with the Italian.

Soccernet.football has ranked the best performers of an underwhelming league campaign for the Old Lady.

5. Danilo

The former Real Madrid and Manchester City defender joined Juve from City in a player-plus-cash swap deal involving Joao Cancelo in the summer of 2019 and has since gone on to become a key member of the Bianconeri setup.

The Juve skipper has led by example this season with spirited displays whenever he has been on the pitch. Danilo has scored one goal and created another in 28 Serie A appearances for Juventus this season.

4. Federico Chiesa

The 23-year-old forward has been one of the bright sparks of Juve’s underwhelming season. Despite having had some disagreements with Allegri this season, the Italian has given his all for the Old Lady.

Chiesa has clearly had difficulties fitting into Allegri’s tactical setup, however, the Italian international has still managed to notch 8 goals and provide 2 assists in 32 Serie A appearances for the Bianconeri.

3. Gleison Bremer

The Brazilian has been an ever present feature in the Bianconeri setup this season, missing just one game in the Serie A for Juventus.

Bremer has been impressive for Juve in defense this season, displaying speed, power and aerial prowess. His ability to read the game brilliantly has also come in handy in carrying out his defensive duties for the Old Lady.

The 27-year-old defender has contributed his quota in attack for the Bianconeri with 3 goals in 36 Serie A outings as well as 3 MOTM performances.

2. Adrien Rabiot

The Frenchman has been a key figure in Juve’s midfield this season and every time he hasn’t been in the team, his absence has always been keenly felt.

Rabiot has been crucial for Juventus this campaign, underscoring his importance for the Bianconeri with a late equalizer against Salernitana to salvage a point for the Old Lady just over a week ago.

Rabiot’s contributions for the Bianconeri this season include 5 goals and 3 assists in 31 Serie A appearances.

1. Dusan Vlahovic

The Serbia international has been Juve’s best attacker this season, despite not being at his absolute best and struggling to flourish under the negative brand of football Allegri adopted to grind out results after a difficult start to the season.

Vlahovic tore Italian football apart while on the books at Fiorentina, however, the 24-year-old striker has struggled to replicate that version of himself at Juventus.

The Bianconeri will be hoping that their new manager (whoever that is going to be) will be able to unlock Vlahovic and fully utilize their Serbian’s talents next season.

Vlahovic contributed 16 goals, 3 assists and 7 MOTM performances across 32 Serie A appearances for the Old Lady this season.
