Real Madrid will battle Borussia Dortmund in the final of the Champions League after the Spanish champions edged past Bayern Munich 4-3 on aggregate on Wednesday evening, Soccerneet.football reports.

Dortmund were the first team to punch their place in the final of Europe’s premier competition on Tuesday after they defeated PSG 1-0 in Paris to seal a 2-0 aggregate win.

Many expected Madrid to be the team to join Dortmund in that final at Wembley as Los Blancos left Munich with an impressive 2-2 draw in the first league.

Any manner of win at the Santiago Bernabeu would have been enough to seal safe passage for the most successful team in the competition history.

However, Bayern Munich had no intention of making it easy for Madrid, and after keeping the home team’s attack quiet for more than an hour, the Germans went up the opposite end to net the opener.

Harry Kane rolled it for Alphonso Davies, and the defender danced into the box, cut back into his right foot, and curled an unstoppable shot into the net.

For so long, it looked like it would be the only goal of the encounter before Madrid pulled off an incredible late turnaround.

A rare Manuel Neuer spill allowed Joselu to steal in and score the equaliser in the 88th minute, and three minutes later, the Spanish striker connected with Rudiger’s cross to bag his brace and break Bayern’s hearts.

Under beautiful bright lights at the Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid incredibly turned around what looked like a painful defeat to grab the ticket to the final in Wembley.
