Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has made it clear that nothing short of victory will suffice when Nigeria faces Rwanda in a crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier on Friday, Footynaija.com reports.
The three-time African champions are desperate for their first win in the qualification series after picking up just three points from their opening four matches.
A victory at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali would reignite their chances of securing an automatic spot at the tournament in the Americas.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference on Thursday, the 47-year-old emphasized the need for full concentration.
“The camp is good. We need to be focused on our game and our project. Rwanda is a great team, they have a new coach, and they need to win, but we need to win too. We are focusing on our preparations, and we will be ready,” Chelle said.
“I just want to be with my players. I want them to focus on this game, and after that, we’ll think about the others. We need to win this game,” he added.
With Nigeria sitting fifth in Group C, failure to secure three points would deal a major blow to their World Cup hopes. However, a win in Kigali could set the stage for a turnaround in their qualification campaign.
