5. Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford – £45,000 per week)

Mbeumo is a versatile forward highly regarded for his pace and uncanny ability to find the back of the net. The Cameroonian has taken on the role of point-man for the Bees this season, capably filling the void left by Ivan Toney. His ability to operate as a winger or a striker gives his team much-needed flexibility in attack. Mbeumo’s impressive performances suggest he could soon earn a move to a bigger club and command an even higher paycheck.

4. Jean Onana (Besiktas – €48,077 per week)

The 24-year-old midfielder is on the books at the Turkish Super Lig side where he currently earns enough to make this list in fourth place. Despite his limited involvement for Besiktas so far this season, Onana’s paycheck is a testament of his huge talent and the belief that the club has in him.

3. Vincent Aboubakar (Hatayspor – €48,077 per week)

A household name in Cameroonian football, Aboubakar is an experienced striker currently plying his trade at Hatayspor in Turkey. The veteran forward has enjoyed an illustrious career with stints at clubs like Porto and Al-Nassr, where he became known for his deadly finishing and physicality. Even at 32, Aboubakar remains a vital figure for club and country.

2. André-Frank Zambo Anguissa (Napoli – €66,538 per week)

Anguissa’s position on this list reflects his immense value at Napoli, where he is a midfield powerhouse. Widely regarded for his ability to dictate the tempo of games and his exceptional work rate, the 29-year-old was integral to Napoli’s Serie A title-winning campaign in the 2022/2023 season. His ball-winning skills and ability to transition play make him a vital part of Napoli’s midfield setup and one of Africa’s finest midfielders.

1. André Onana (Manchester United – £120,000 per week)

The Manchester United goalkeeper claims top spot on this list by a very comfortable margin. Onana swapped Milan for Manchester in the summer of 2023 after just one season with the Nerazzurri. His exceptional shot-stopping ability and impressive distribution accuracy have been on full display this season. As one of the highest-earning African goalkeepers, his salary reflects his elite status and the trust placed in him by one of the world’s biggest clubs.
