Crystal Palace’s young midfielder Adam Wharton is catching the attention of German giants Bayern Munich, Soccernet.football reports.

While Palace boasts talents like Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, it’s Wharton who has piqued Bayern Munich’s interest, with The Mirror reports suggesting a potential £60 million summer transfer.

At just 20 years old, Wharton has secured his spot in Palace’s starting lineup, impressing in 15 consecutive matches and contributing three assists.

Having signed Wharton from Blackburn Rovers for around £22 million in February, Palace’s decision has proved astute.

Wharton’s rise has attracted top clubs across Europe, with his recent performances showcasing maturity and composure on the field.

In Palace’s victory against Wolves, Wharton played a pivotal role, including an assist, and he shone in their 4-0 win against Manchester United, creating multiple chances and disrupting attacks.

Bayern Munich are looking to rebuild after enduring a trophyless campaign this season.

The German giants lost their Bundesliga crown to Bayer Leverkusen and crashed out of the Champions League in the semifinals at the hands of La Liga winners Real Madrid.

Thomas Tuchel will depart as Bayern manager at the end of the campaign.
