Galatasaray and Gabon midfielder Mario Lemina has declared that Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen is currently the best striker in the world, Footynaija.com reports.
Osimhen’s sojourn outside of Europe’s top five leagues has done nothing to dent his reputation as one of the most prolific strikers in world football at the moment, with another season of impact in Istanbul rightly drawing admiring glances from the biggest clubs on the continent.
A number of other strikers have caught the eye with their performances this season, particularly the likes of Harry Kane whose tally of 33 goals delivered the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich and Erling Haaland whose 26 league goals has Man City chasing down Arsenal at the summit of the Premier League.
Despite this, Lemina maintains that Galatasaray teammate Osimhen, who bagged a brace last weekend to seal a historic fourth consecutive Super Lig title for The Lions is the most complete striker currently in the game.

“Victor Osimhen is the world’s best striker. He is the most complete striker I’ve seen in my life. I think he’s the best I’ve seen in my life. He’s a special one,” the Gabon international said via Forza Cimbom.
“We love each other with Osimhen. We always want to win. When someone shouts, it’s a positive thing for the team. I love that. Osimhen is a warrior. His best quality is his competitiveness. He always wants to win.”
Osimhen boasts an impressive attacking return since his move to Galatasaray two summers ago, with 59 goals in just over 70 appearances across all competitions. His two seasons at RAMS Park have produced one Turkish Cup crown and back-to-back Super Lig titles.
The Nigeria international’s name is one that will likely feature in plenty transfer speculations this summer as Galatasaray look to ward off external interest in his services over the course of the upcoming transfer window.
