Paris Saint-Germain have revived their interest in Victor Osimhen after a shift in thinking from head coach Luis Enrique, Footynaija reports.
PSG will likely move for Osimhen in the summer as the French giants grow increasingly impatient with star striker Gonçalo Ramos, according to a report by Fichajes via Hurriyet.
The Nigerian international, 2023 Africa Footballer of the Year, had previously been overlooked by the European champions but is now firmly back on their shortlist.
Around 18 months ago, Enrique was unconvinced that Osimhen suited PSG’s style, and the club explored other attacking options instead.
However, the situation has changed this season, with doubts emerging over the consistency of Gonçalo Ramos. While Ramos has made an impact from the bench with a number of late goals, he has struggled to deliver the same level of performance when starting matches regularly. For a team aiming to dominate both domestically and in Europe, that inconsistency has become a concern.
As a result, PSG are now believed to be in the market for a more reliable and experienced centre-forward, bringing Osimhen back into focus. The 27-year-old’s previous connection with sporting adviser Luis Campos, dating back to their time together at Lille OSC, could also play a key role if talks progress.
Osimhen’s form in Turkey has only strengthened his case. He has been one of Europe’s most effective forwards this season, combining physical strength, intelligent movement and clinical finishing. His goals have been crucial for Galatasaray in both domestic competitions and the UEFA Champions League, where he has consistently delivered against top-level opposition.
That level of performance has not gone unnoticed elsewhere. Bayern Munich and Atlético Madrid are also monitoring his situation closely, setting the stage for a potential transfer battle in the coming months.
Despite the growing interest, Galatasaray remain in a strong negotiating position. The Turkish club are under no immediate pressure to sell and are expected to demand a significant fee for the former Napoli ace.
Although Osimhen is currently recovering from a forearm injury, anticipation around his return continues to build. With PSG now back in the race and other elite clubs watching closely, Osimhen’s future is once again one of the most talked-about stories in European football.
