The Super Eagles camp is almost at full capacity as the likes of Ademola Lookman, Raphael Onyedika and Akor Adams arrive at Nigeria’s camp in Antalya ahead of international friendly games against Iran and Jordan, Footynaija.com reports.
Lookman arrives in Antalya in great form after scoring for his club Atletico Madrid over the weekend in La Liga while Onyedika is fresh off helping Club Brugge to a comprehensive 4-1 victory over KV Mechelen in the Belgian Pro League.
As for Adams, the 25-year-old striker will be looking to find his scoring boots again over the course of this international break after firing blanks in his last couple of La Liga outings as Sevilla suffered defeats to Barcelona and Valencia respectively.
Alongside Lookman, Onyedika and Adams, defenders Igoh Ogbu of Slavia Prague and Zaidu Sanusi of FC Porto also joined up with teammates in the Super Eagles camp on Wednesday morning, bringing the number of available players to 21.
The likes of Fisayo Bashiru, Alex Iwobi, Emmanuel Oluwasegun, Yira Sor, Paul Onuachu, Philip Otele, Semi Ajayi, Moses Simon, Francis Uzoho, Bruno Onyemaechi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Frank Onyeka, Adebayo Adeleye, Chidera Ejuke, Maduka Okoye and Samuel Chukwueze all reported to camp on Tuesday.
Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi and Fulham defender Calvin Bassey are the only players yet to join up with Eric Chelle’s contingent, with both players expected to arrive before the commencement of Wednesday evening’s training session.
The Super Eagles will face Iran in their opening friendly match on Friday, March 27, before battling Jordan on Tuesday, March 31.
