Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has confirmed that he is back in contention to feature for Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray ahead of their crucial UEFA Champions League playoffs decider against Juventus, Footynaija.com reports.
There have been concerns over the uncertainty surrounding Osimhen’s availability for the upcoming clash after the Super Eagles striker missed Galatasaray’s shock 2-0 defeat to Konyaspor over the weekend through injury.
However, the Nigeria international, who picked up the knock during Gala’s preparations for the Konyaspor clash has provided a positive update on his condition as The Super Lig champions turn their attention to Juventus.

“My knee is fine, thank you,” Osimhen told Sky Sport Italia.
“I have a little pain in my knee, that is the reason why I didn’t play the last league game, but thanks to the medical team, I am back with the squad and looking forward to facing Juve.”

While Osimhen’s availability comes as a massive boost for Galatasaray, it remains uncertain whether the Super Eagles striker will be fit enough to feature in Okan Buruk’s starting XI at the Allianz Stadium.
Galatasaray hold a huge advantage heading into this one after recording a well deserved 5-2 victory at RAMS Park last week. This leaves Juventus with a mountain to climb if they’re to progress into the Round of 16.
Osimhen didn’t get on the score sheet in the first leg but the Nigerian striker managed to provide two assists. He’ll definitely be looking to contribute significantly as Galatasaray aim to lock down a place in the last 16.
