Turkish football expert Arda Okzurt has reacted to speculations linking Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen with a move away from Galatasaray this summer, Footynaija.com reports.
Osimhen, widely regarded as one of the most prolific strikers in Europe at the moment, is currently attracting admiring glances from Spain where reigning La Liga champions Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are reportedly weighing up a potential move.
Amid interest from Barca and Atleti, rumours coming out of Turkey is that the Nigerian striker is unhappy in the Turkish capital and could be leaning towards seeking an exit route at the end of the season.
One incident that further stoked the flames of these rumours is Osimhen’s subdued celebration which followed his goal against Caykur Rizespor last weekend. The striker’s body language and facial expression didn’t carry much excitement as he simply high-fived teammates.
However, Okzurt has come out to dismiss suggestions that Osimhen is unhappy at RAMS Park and wants to leave, insisting that one on one conversations with those in charge at Galatasaray revealed the exact opposite.

“I asked Galatasaray if they had any interest in Victor Osimhen,” he said, per quotes revealed by habersarikirmizi.
“The answer was, ‘We haven’t received any offers, and we have no intention of selling him.
“Osimhen has no plans to leave either. Those who are spreading these rumors do not have good intentions.”
Galatasaray are in action next on Friday when they take on Eyuspor in the Super Lig and barring any unforeseen circumstances, Osimhen should feature for the Lions. The Nigerian striker has nine goals from 15 Super Lig matches and he’ll definitely be looking to add to that tally.
