Egyptian great Mohamed Aboutrika has warned Morocco to be wary of Nigeria when both teams meet in the semifonal of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Footynaija.com reports.
Aboutrika says the Super Eagles, who have won all five games played at AFCON 2025, have shown no clear flaws in their game.
The former Al Ahly star was speaking after Nigeria’s assured 2-0 quarterfinal victory over Algeria, a match settled in the second half by goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams after a tight opening 45 minutes.

Watching on from the beIN Sports studio, Aboutrika delivered a sweeping verdict on the performance and the team’s overall strength.
“The strongest team is the one that won, and Nigeria has no obvious weaknesses,” he said.
He pointed to a side that can hurt opponents in different ways, adding: “Physically, they were very present, and technically as well. They have playmakers and strikers, and they excel in physical and aerial duels.”
Rather than focusing on one star, Aboutrika highlighted the team’s balance across the pitch.
“Osimhen in attack, Iwobi and Ndidi in midfield, Akor on the right flank, plus a solid defensive line, they played almost flawlessly,” he said.
For the two-time Africa Cup of Nations winner, the outcome was never in doubt. “It’s a deserved victory, as Nigeria was the better and stronger side in the match,” Aboutrika concluded.
Nigeria next face hosts Morocco in Wednesday’s semifinal, making a 16th appearance at this stage of the tournament.
