Nigerian internationals Moses Simon and Paul Onuachu both found the net in Europe over the weekend, delivering standout performances for their clubs, Footynaija.com reports.

Simon, who joined newly promoted Paris FC in the summer, produced a decisive display in a 3-2 Ligue 1 win over Metz on Sunday.

The former Nantes winger created Ilan Kebbal’s second goal shortly after half-time before restoring Paris FC’s lead with a composed finish midway through the second half.

In Turkey, Onuachu continued his strong start at Trabzonspor following his permanent switch from Southampton.

The striker powered home a diving header from Oleksandr Zubkov’s cross to open the scoring against Samsunspor, though the visitors hit back late on to snatch a point.

Elsewhere, 19-year-old Emmanuel Umeh impressed again for FC Zurich, setting up the opener in their 3-1 victory over Winterthur in Switzerland.

In England, Ola Aina featured for Nottingham Forest while Taiwo Awoniyi missed out as Forest fell 3-0 at home to West Ham United.
