Victor Osimhen is on the verge of sealing a record-breaking transfer to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, with a medical scheduled for early next week in Paris, Footynaija.com reports.

According to multiple sources, the Nigerian striker has agreed personal terms with the Riyadh-based club and is expected to undergo his medical examination on Monday or Tuesday, paving the way for a blockbuster move ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, which begins June 15 in the United States.

Italian journalist Jolanda De Rienzo confirmed Osimhen’s plans via X, revealing, “Victor Osimhen has accepted Al-Hilal’s medical examinations scheduled in Paris for Monday/Tuesday. The push for the Club World Cup.”

Despite an agreement with the player, one major obstacle remains: Napoli are yet to accept Al-Hilal’s €70 million offer, which falls €5 million short of the striker’s release clause.

Osimhen, 26, enjoyed a phenomenal season on loan at Galatasaray, where he netted 37 goals and registered eight assists in 41 appearances.

His form attracted attention from Europe’s top clubs — including Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, PSG, and Barcelona — though many have now pulled out, unwilling to meet the forward’s reported €12 million salary demands.

Al-Hilal, however, are reportedly ready to pay him €40 million per year — a staggering figure equivalent to more than ₦71 billion — to secure his services.

The deal’s completion would see Osimhen become one of the highest-paid footballers in the world as Al-Hilal bolster their squad for the Club World Cup.
