Victor Osimhen’s long-standing ambition of playing in the Premier League may be slipping away — at least for now — as Manchester United appear to have cooled their interest in the Nigerian striker, footynaija.com understands.

Despite being on United’s radar all season, the club have yet to open formal talks with the 26-year-old, who is fresh from a sensational loan spell at Galatasaray.

Osimhen, who has never hidden his desire to play in England, came close to joining Chelsea last summer before negotiations collapsed, leading to a temporary switch from Napoli to Turkey.

The Super Eagles forward enjoyed a stellar season with Galatasaray, firing 36 goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances to help the Istanbul giants clinch the Süper Lig title. But with United missing out on the Champions League after their Europa League final defeat to Tottenham, a move to Old Trafford now looks unlikely.

That uncertainty has opened the door for Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal, who have entered advanced talks with Osimhen. According to Foot Mercato via GFNF, the Riyadh-based club have tabled a staggering offer: a three-year contract worth €120 million (approximately N215.7 billion) — equivalent to €40 million (roughly ₦71.9 billion) per season.

Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek confirmed the offer, telling Milliyet:
“He received a three-year, €120 million offer from Saudi Arabia. We can compete with European clubs, but it is impossible with the Saudis.”

He added that Osimhen is expected to make a final decision “in one to two weeks,” acknowledging the deep connection the Nigerian has with Galatasaray and their fans:
“He had great times at Galatasaray and he knows he won’t find this love anywhere else.”

Victor Osimhen is having a ridiculous loan spell at Galatasaray:

Meanwhile, Italian outlet Il Mattino reports that Osimhen has already turned down a move to Juventus, further reinforcing speculation that his future lies in the Middle East.

A move to Al Hilal would reportedly triple his current salary, with annual earnings of €35 million on offer — far surpassing the terms discussed a year ago before Napoli blocked a potential Saudi transfer.
