Born Raphael Onyedika Nwadike on April 19, 2001, Onyedika started playing street football before joining Nigerian club F.C. Ebedei’s academy at 15. After three years, he moved to FC Midtjylland’s academy in Denmark, an affiliate of Ebedei, shortly after turning 18.
In his first full season, he impressed in the U19 League and UEFA Youth League with his physicality, speed, and style. On 1 July 2020, he signed a five-year professional contract with Midtjylland.
To gain experience, he was loaned to FC Fredericia for the 2020–21 season, where he played 28 games, scored three goals, and earned a spot in TV3 Sport’s Danish 1st Division team of the year.
