Victor Osimhen has been tipped to emulate Cristiano Ronaldo’s early Manchester United journey – with William Gallas insisting the Nigerian striker has what it takes to become a Premier League star, if given time to settle, Footynaija.com reports.
Manchester United have made the Galatasaray loanee one of their top transfer targets this summer, with manager Ruben Amorim eager to bring in a reliable goalscorer.

Osimhen, currently on loan from Napoli, has also attracted interest from Chelsea, but Gallas believes United could be the ideal destination for the 26-year-old.
The former Arsenal captain told Prime Casino via the Daily Star:
“I think Victor Osimhen can become a star in the Premier League, he has the right profile. He can stretch play and stretch the backlines. Another attacker can run into the space he makes, and he could be useful for any club in the Premier League.”
However, Gallas suggested Osimhen, like a young Ronaldo, may need time to adjust.
“He’s always learning, but at the same time, how long will he need to adapt to a new situation? We’ve seen foreign players before, it’s often difficult for them in the first season.”
“Even (Cristiano) Ronaldo, in his first season (at United), he wasn’t the Ronaldo we know now, but in the second season there were signs.”
The former Chelsea defender added that United’s current expectations make them a good fit: “If we talk about Manchester United, from where they are now, they don’t need to win the league. They’re looking to be top four or top five, so maybe they can give Osimhen the time he needs.”

Osimhen has been in electric form in Turkey, scoring or assisting 38 times in just 36 matches for Galatasaray.
The Nigerian, who made history by becoming the first African to win Serie A’s Golden Boot, is now in pole position to scoop both the top scorer and player of the season awards in the Super Lig.
