Former Besiktas midfielder Sinan Engin has thrown his weight behind Victor Osimhen, claiming the Napoli striker fully deserves his reported €10–15 million (N18–27 billion) annual salary, amid increasing speculation linking him with a sensational move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, Footynaija.com reports.
Speaking on Turkish broadcaster Ekol TV, Engin addressed both the ongoing transfer talk and Osimhen’s perceived value in today’s football economy.
“Osimhen is not earning €9 million — he’s making €10 to €15 million with bonuses,” Engin insisted, as quoted by habersarikirmizi.com. “He wouldn’t be happy earning anything less. Nobody talks about his wages because he’s worth it.”

My only wish is to win the championship with Galatasaray. After we finish the season with the championship, we will look at transfers.” (via @EfsaneFotospor) pic.twitter.com/XhR6nWqaTR
Engin didn’t stop there. He compared Osimhen to other top-level forwards in Europe, arguing that the Nigerian is a cut above the rest — including Italy international Ciro Immobile, who reportedly earns similar wages.
“Immobile earns €10 million, but he’s not better than Osimhen or Morata,” Engin said.
The former Besiktas man also weighed in on Fenerbahçe’s attacking line, openly questioning the quality of their current strikers, Youssef En-Nesyri and Edin Dzeko.
“In my opinion, neither En-Nesyri nor Dzeko are true centre-forwards for Fenerbahçe. Even if En-Nesyri scores 40 goals, he’s still not that guy,” he added.
Engin claimed that if Osimhen had been part of Fenerbahçe’s squad, the title race would look very different.
“If Osimhen was at Fenerbahçe, they’d be eight points clear by now,” he concluded.
Osimhen, who has been heavily linked with a summer move to Turkey, has scored 29 goals and provided six assists in 33 appearances across all competitions this season.
