The Super Falcons made the second leg of their 2028 Olympic qualifier look routine in Ikenne, turning a 2-0 first-leg lead into a 5-0 win over Comoros at the Remo Stars Stadium, Footynaija.com reports.
Augustine Eguavoen kept the same starting side that beat the Coelacanths on Friday. Toni Payne, the Inter Milan midfielder, scored twice, Uchenna Kanu added a brace of her own, and Christy Ucheibe converted a penalty.
The 7-0 aggregate sends Nigeria through to a third-round tie with Morocco. Both legs were played in Ikenne because Comoros have no CAF-approved stadium.
Here are the Super Falcons players ratings from the second leg.
Chiamaka Nnadozie — 6.5
The Brighton goalkeeper had almost nothing to do once Nigeria took control. She kept another clean sheet on a night when Comoros rarely crossed the halfway line.
Christy Ucheibe — 8
The Al-Hilal player was again asked to play in central defence and still found time to convert the penalty that made it 5-0. She looked comfortable in a role that is not her usual one.
Shukurat Oladipo — 6.5
The Roma defender dealt with the little that came her way and helped keep the back line organised while the attackers did the damage.
Michelle Alozie — 6.5
The Chicago Stars defender did not score this time, but she stayed solid at the back and offered the same forward runs that brought her a goal in the first leg.
Glory Ogbonna — 6.5
The Besiktas full-back kept offering width and stayed tidy as Nigeria pushed numbers forward.
Joy Igbokwe — 6.5
The Nasarawa Amazons midfielder started her second Super Falcons game and held her place in a midfield that controlled the ball for long spells.
Toni Payne — 9
The Inter Milan midfielder scored in the 41st and 64th minutes and was the player who set the tone once the first goal arrived. Two goals from midfield on a night when Nigeria needed a statement.
Jennifer Echegini — 7.5
The PSG midfielder kept finding runners and supplied the quality that let Kanu and Payne get into scoring positions. She was involved in most of the good moves.
Uchenna Kanu — 9
The Cruz Azul forward scored twice, in the 58th and 67th minutes, and looked sharp in the absence of Asisat Oshoala. A brace that takes her to three goals in the tie.
Gift Monday — 7
The Washington Spirit striker led the line again and gave Nigeria a presence up front. She did not score, but her movement created space for the others.
Rasheedat Ajibade — 7
The PSG captain wore the armband and kept the wide play going. She did not get on the scoresheet, but the night still ran through her side of the pitch.
