Stanley Iheanacho’s return to FC Midtjylland is beginning to pay off, with the Nigerian forward scoring twice in a 4-1 Superliga win over Brøndby, Footynaija reports.
The 2026 returnee produced his best league display of the season as Midtjylland secured a convincing home victory on Monday.
Friday Etim also impressed, using his strength to cause problems for the visitors as the two Nigerians played important roles in the result.
Midtjylland coach Mike Tullberg was pleased with the progress of both players but said the experienced members of his squad have also helped create the right conditions for them to succeed.
“It’s great that there are people who are taking such big steps as they are now. But it’s also important that those who have experience on our team are good at giving them a framework within which they can perform,” he said, as quoted by Sportherning.
Iheanacho returned to Midtjylland in June after two seasons with Portuguese side Mafra. He had previously come through the Danish club’s youth setup before leaving for Fredericia, where he made 14 Superliga appearances.
His two goals against Brøndby have taken his league total to four this season.
Etim has also made a strong start, with the forward now on three Superliga goals.
The performances of the two Nigerians give Tullberg another reason to be pleased as Midtjylland look to build momentum in the league.
