Mamelodi Sundowns are considering a move for Super Eagles defender Olisa Ndah, but the player’s representatives have dismissed suggestions that a transfer is close to being completed, Footynaija.com reports.
The South African champions are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season and have identified Ndah as one of the defenders on their shortlist. However, despite reports linking the Nigerian to the Pretoria club, discussions have not progressed beyond early interest.
Ndah is currently a free agent after leaving Stellenbosch FC at the end of the 2025/26 season. The 27 year old joined the Cape Town based club in February and made seven appearances before his contract expired on July 1.

Speaking to Afrik Foot ZA, Ndah’s agent confirmed that Sundowns have shown interest, but stressed that no concrete negotiations have taken place.
“There is interest, but nothing concrete.”
The brief response suggests that while Sundowns are monitoring the Super Eagles defender, there is still no agreement between the two parties, leaving Ndah free to consider other offers.
The former Akwa United centre back remains an attractive option on the market because of his experience in both South African football and on the international stage with Nigeria. Before joining Stellenbosch, Ndah spent several seasons with Orlando Pirates, where he established himself as one of the league’s dependable defenders and earned regular Super Eagles call ups.
Sundowns, who have dominated South African football in recent years, are expected to strengthen several areas of their squad before the transfer window closes. Ndah’s availability as a free agent makes him a low risk option, although the club is understood to be assessing a number of defensive targets before making a final decision.
For now, the situation remains open. Interest from Sundowns is genuine, but there is no formal offer or advanced agreement in place.
