Newly-promoted Premier League club Ipswich Town are pushing strongly to sign Nigerian midfielder Femi Azeez after his impressive campaign with Millwall in the Championship, Footynaija reports.

The 24-year-old emerged as one of the division’s finest talents during the 2025-26 season, helping Millwall secure a third-place finish. His direct running, quick feet and ability to create chances in transition made him a constant threat for defenders throughout the campaign.

Azeez ended the season with 11 goals and eight assists in 35 league appearances, numbers that have now placed him firmly on the radar of several Premier League clubs. Reports in England suggest Ipswich are among the most determined admirers as they prepare for life back in the top flight.

The Tractor Boys are expected to strengthen heavily this summer after sealing promotion to the Premier League, and Azeez is believed to fit the profile of player the club want to build around.

Millwall, however, are under little pressure to sell. The London club reportedly value the midfielder at around €34.5 million, a huge increase from the modest fee they paid to sign him in 2024. With two years remaining on his contract, Millwall are expected to drive a hard bargain despite growing interest from clubs including Aston Villa, Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Azeez’s rising reputation has also reached international level. The midfielder is widely expected to receive his first invitation to the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming Unity Cup under coach Eric Chelle.

Born in England to a Nigerian father and Spanish mother, Azeez was eligible to represent three countries internationally. However, he is understood to have committed his future to Nigeria and could soon make his senior debut for the Super Eagles during the Unity Cup later this year.
