Nigerian forward Oche Odoba Ochowechi has completed a move to Greek side PAE Chania, ending his spell with Ukrainian Premier Liga club Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih and signing a contract that runs until June 30, 2026, Footynaija.com reports.

The Benue-born attacker left Kryvbas in late January after both parties agreed to terminate his deal. The separation came without the forward making a competitive league appearance for the Kryvyi Rih based club.

Odoba had spent much of his time away from Ukraine on loan, most recently in Israel with Hapoel Rishon LeZion, where he featured in the Liga Leumit, the country’s second tier.

During that loan spell in the 2025-26 season, the Nigerian recorded three goals across roughly 13 league outings. He returned to Kryvbas towards the end of January before his contract situation was resolved.

The Ukrainian side had signed him as part of a broader recruitment drive that included several foreign players, but opportunities in competitive matches did not materialise for the Nigerian at first team level.

Footy d’Afrique reports that PAE Chania have moved to secure his signature. The Greek club, who compete in Super League 2, registered the forward in their first team squad for the ongoing season.

Chania, based in Crete, have built a squad that combines Greek-based players with foreign professionals looking to rebuild or advance their careers. The arrival of the Nigerian adds experience gathered across several European leagues.

Before his stint in Ukraine, Odoba spent a large part of his early European career in Portugal with CD Feirense, featuring in the Liga Portugal 2 across many seasons. He also had a spell in Azerbaijan with Gabala, adding to a career that has taken him through different countries before the latest switch to Greece.
