Former Nigeria forward Simon Zenke believes Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi will thrive after securing a loan move from OGC Nice to FC Porto for the remainder of the season, Footynaija.com reports.
Moffi’s move came on the back of a request to terminate his contract at the Allianz Riviera after falling victim to physical and verbal abuse from fans following a disappointing Ligue 1 defeat at the end of November 2025.
The 25-year-old striker will now see out the rest of the ongoing season at the Estadio do Dragao with Porto retaining an option to make the deal permanent for a fee of €8 million this summer.

Speaking about the move, Zenke expressed relief that Moffi can now put that sour chapter behind him and focus on getting his career back on track.
“This comes as good news not just for Terem but all of us here in France,” Zenke said in quotes revealed by Footy-Africa.
“What he has gone through in the last weeks is not good at all. I hope his mental health is good at this moment. It wasn’t like he was doing badly for Nice when the fans did what they did. No human being or footballer should be harassed that way.
“Fans have the right to be angry, but to resort to violence? I do not subscribe to that. He needed a change of scene and I am happy he will get it in Portugal, where he can play with ease and not have to be looking behind his back.
“I believe he will do well with Porto. There are good quality players there to bring out the best in him, and he will score goals.”
Moffi last featured in a competitive match back in November and he’ll be eager for a return to action. The Super Eagles striker may get an opportunity later tonight, when Porto take on Casa Pia in the Liga Portugal.
