OGC Nice forwards Terem Moffi and Jérémie Boga will be out for several more days after the club extended their sick leave in the aftermath of last week’s violent confrontation with supporters, Footynaija.com reports.

The pair were attacked by angry fans at the training ground following Nice’s 3–1 defeat to Lorient on December 7, leaving both players shaken and temporarily unable to feature.

According to RMC Sport via PLF, Moffi’s initial sick leave, which had been scheduled to end last Sunday, has now been extended by an additional five days. Boga’s leave has been lengthened by seven days.

Their extended absence rules them out of Nice’s Europa League fixture against Braga on Thursday and Sunday’s Ligue 1 match against Lens. Their availability for the French Cup tie versus Saint-Étienne on December 21 remains doubtful.

Both players are said to be traumatised and no longer wish to continue playing for Nice, raising the likelihood of winter departures.

Teammates showed their support during Sunday’s match against Angers by wearing shirts bearing the duo’s names.

Interest is already building across Ligue 1.

Moffi, valued at €15 million, is attracting attention from several unnamed clubs ahead of the January transfer window. The striker’s relationship with some supporters had become strained after cameras caught him joking with Lorient president Loïc Féry following last month’s defeat, a moment rooted in his past with Les Merlus but poorly received by fans.

With tensions rising and uncertainty growing, Nice may now be forced into significant changes as the winter window approaches.
