Nigeria face one of their most demanding nights in recent memory as Gabon have unveiled a heavyweight squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff in Morocco, Footynaija.com reports.
The Panthers come with firepower from every angle, led by Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Denis Bouanga, two forwards who have been in outstanding form for club and country.
With a single match deciding who reaches the final playoff stage, the Super Eagles under Eric Chelle understand that the slightest lapse could be punished.

The match in Morocco is set for Thursday 13 November 2025, with the winner advancing to Sunday’s playoff final. Only the winner of that final earns the right to represent Africa in the inter continental playoff in March 2026.
Nigeria enter this meeting after finishing as one of the best runners up in the CAF qualifiers, while Gabon earned their place through a strong late push. The setting is neutral, the pressure is enormous and the expectation from supporters back home is key.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang recently scored four goals in a dramatic World Cup qualifier against The Gambia, showing that he remains lethal at the age of 36. Bouanga, for his part, brings spectacular numbers of his own, having surpassed 100 goals for Los Angeles FC.

According to a report by Blueprint Nigeria, Gabon have named a 27-man squad for the fixture. These include:
Goalkeepers: Jean Noël Amonome of AS Arta Solar seven in Djibouti, Donald Nzé of AS Mangasport, Anthony Mfa Mezui of FC Rodange in Luxembourg
Defenders: Bruno Ecuele Manga of Chamois Niortais in France, Lloyd Palun of RWD Molenbeek in Belgium, Aaron Appindangoye who is currently without a club, Johann Obiang of Stade Lavallois, David Sambissa of Pau FC, Sidney Obissa of Olympiakos Nicosia
Midfielders: Mario Lemina of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Guélor Kanga of Red Star Belgrade, Jim Allevinah of Clermont Foot, Louis Ameka Autchanga of Sabah FC, Noha Lemina of Yverdon Sport FC, Yoann Wachter of US Saint Malo
Forwards: Pierre Emerick Aubameyang of Marseille, Denis Bouanga of Los Angeles FC, Axel Meye of CR Belouizdad, Aaron Boupendza of Al Shabab, Ulrick Eneme Ella of Angers

Nigeria arrive with their own form and belief, led by Victor Osimhen who scored a hat trick against Benin to send the Super Eagles into this playoff phase.
The Galatasaray striker produced another hat trick on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League against Ajax, taking him to 6 goals in four matches and placing him at the top of the Champions League scoring chart after matchday four.
