For Nigeria, the tie comes amid a packed competitive calendar. The three-time African champions remain in the thick of World Cup qualifying, sitting third in Group C after a narrow win over Rwanda and a draw with South Africa in September.
With key qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin to come in October, momentum will be critical heading into November’s friendlies.
Colombia, ranked 14th in the world, approach the fixture in high spirits after sealing a spot at the 2026 World Cup with games to spare. Néstor Lorenzo’s side will face New Zealand in Fort Lauderdale before travelling north to take on Nigeria.
