Paris FC have penned a heartfelt goodbye to Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie following the confirmation of her departure on Friday, ending a “historic” five-year stint at the French capital, Footynaija.com reports.

Nnadozie left the shores of Nigeria to join the French capital club back in 2020. Following the expiration of her contract, the former Rivers Angels shot-stopper is currently in search of a new challenge ahead of next season.

During her five years with Paris FC, the Nigerian shot-stopper racked up a total of 118 appearances across all competitions. She amassed 97 in the Premiere Ligue alone while also featuring 21 times in the Women’s Champions League (16) and Coupe de France Feminine (5).

The 24-year-old most notably enjoyed Coupe de France Feminine success with Paris FC in the just concluded season amid past individual achievements such as the D1 Arkema Goalkeeper of the Season award as well as the UNFP’s Best Goalkeeper award.

In a moving gesture of gratitude for Nnadozie’s many contributions over the last five years, Paris FC took to social media to bid their departing goalkeeper an emotional farewell.

“Arriving at Paris FC in 2020 from River Angels FC, Chiamaka immediately became an essential part of the team,” the post read.

“Arkema’s best goalkeeper in 2023 — she is leaving Paris FC after a magnificent victory in the Coupe de France, where she was one of the main actresses.

“Paris FC warmly thanks Chiamaka for all these five years that will forever leave an imprint in the history of the club. We wish her all the best for the next step of her career.

“Thank you, Maka!”

Nnadozie’s departure from Paris FC coincides with recent reports which suggest that a move to England’s Women’s Super League could be on the cards. Everton has been touted as a potential destination.
