Felix Agu has sparked fresh excitement among Nigeria fans after urging Werder Bremen teammate Justin Njinmah to commit his international future to the Super Eagles, footynaija.com reports.

Agu, 25, recently made his debut for Nigeria during the Unity Cup friendly against Jamaica in London, having switched allegiance from Germany.

Born in Osnabrück to Nigerian parents, Agu previously featured for Germany’s U21s in 2019 but has now pledged his senior career to his roots.

Following his debut, the full-back posted a proud image of himself in Nigerian colours on Instagram, captioned simply: “Proud.”

Among the congratulatory replies was one from Bremen teammate Justin Njinmah, who commented: “My brothaaa” with a white heart emoji. Agu’s cheeky reply—“u next!!”—has since ignited speculation that the 24-year-old forward could also be considering a switch to Nigeria.

Njinmah, who is also of Nigerian descent, has yet to represent either Germany or Nigeria at any level. But with a solid Bundesliga campaign under his belt and growing interest from Super Eagles selectors, Agu’s public nudge might just be the spark that triggers a second Werder Bremen defection.

The two players share a close friendship and strong Nigerian heritage — factors that could make the idea of representing the West African giants even more appealing.
