Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has opened up on his long-standing ambition to play in the Premier League, while making it clear that he is still happy at Nantes, Footynaija.com reports.

The 28-year-old attacker, who has enjoyed one of his most productive seasons in Ligue 1, revealed that although transfer interest exists, he is not desperate to leave and will only consider a move if the timing and project are right.

Simon was in fine form during the 2024–25 campaign, scoring 8 goals and providing 10 assists in 32 appearances across all competitions for Nantes.

His consistent performances sparked fresh speculation over a potential move to England, but the Nigerian forward insists he remains grounded.

Speaking in a recent interview with SportsBoom, about the situation, Simon said,

“Yes, I’ve heard about the interest, and I know my agent is in contact with some clubs. Right now, I’m still a Nantes player.”

The 2023 AFCON bronze medallist has been one of Nigeria’s most reliable wingers in recent years, earning over 60 caps for the Super Eagles since his debut in 2015.

Despite the external noise, Simon remains focused on honouring his current contract.

“I’ve always given my best for this club, and I respect my contract. But of course, every player wants to play at the highest level,” he explained.

When asked about his Premier League dream, Simon did not hide his admiration for the English top flight.

“The Premier League is one of the best in the world. If the right offer comes, and it’s good for me and my family, then why not? But I’m not desperate.”

He added, “I have peace here in France. It has to be the right project.”

These comments bring some clarity to the growing speculation about his next move and suggest that while a transfer is possible, there is no immediate push from the player’s side.
