Former Galatasaray top scorer Bafetimbi Gomis has expressed delight with the impact of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray, praising the Nigerian for his constant hard work and hunger, Footynaija.com reports.
Osimhen has enjoyed a phenomenal personal campaign with the Turkish Super Lig giants this season. Not only has he broken his personal goal-scoring record for a single season, he is also on the verge of becoming Galatasaray’s all time top scorer in a single season.
It hasn’t been a story of just personal success alone for Osimhen. The 26-year-old hitman at the epicenter of Galatasaray’s domestic double charge with a record of 40 goal contributions (33G, 7A) across all competitions this season.

Osimhen’s exploits in Turkey have greatly impressed Gomis, who himself notched 51 goals in 86 appearances for Galatasaray and was the club’s top scorer during their Super Lig triumph in 2018. The Frenchman minced no words in his praises for the masked Nigerian hitman.
What Gomis said about Osimhen
“Osimhen is defending the colours of Galatasaray as he should be,” Gomis said in quotes revealed by habersarikirmizi.
“He is doing an exemplary job with his performance and I am proud of him. I hope he leads us to the championship and makes Galatasaray, Africa, and all of Nigeria proud. He is a very hard-working and hungry player.
“I don’t have any advice to give to Osimhen. Osimhen does justice to the Galatasaray jersey. He already knows that he is loved at Galatasaray and he should continue to make us proud and score more goals. I wish him the best.”
Indeed Osimhen has done a fantastic job in terms of quickly settling into life at the Turkish capital club and tearing up the Super Lig with his unstoppable goal-scoring ability on full display.
