Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has said he is happy at the club but has set one clear condition for extending his stay in Istanbul – Champions League football next season, Footynaija.com reports.

The Nigerian forward, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli at the start of the season, has been in impressive form and remains a central figure in the club’s title challenge.

With Galatasaray currently three points clear at the top of the Turkish Super League and pushing for domestic glory, attention has now shifted to the future of their star striker.

After Galatasaray’s recent win over Samsunspor, Osimhen addressed his future.

“There are always rumours about me,” he said. “But I live in the moment. I’m enjoying myself right now. The fans have given me incredible support – not only for me, but for my friends and family. The decision will be made for what’s best for everyone. But Galatasaray will be in my heart forever.”

His emotional remarks sparked speculation that he could leave in the summer, but Galatasaray Vice President İbrahim Hatipoğlu moved quickly to clarify the situation.

Speaking to Spanish outlet AS, Hatipoğlu said: “He didn’t say he would leave. He only said Galatasaray will always be in his heart. We want him to stay.”

Veteran Turkish football journalist Levent Tüzemen added further insight in Sabah as per Fotomac, revealing that the Galatasaray board has budgeted for a permanent transfer and that Osimhen has only one condition: a place in next season’s Champions League.

“Victor is very happy at Galatasaray,” Tüzemen said. “But he wants to play in the Champions League. That is his only condition.”

In the race to sign Osimhen permanently, Galatasaray will likely face stiff competition from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Chelsea and Real Madrid.
