Nigeria’s Ola Aina has received one of the highest compliments of his career after Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher named him in his Premier League Team of the Season, Footynaija.com reports.
Aina has been one of Nottingham Forest’s standout performers during an extraordinary campaign that has seen Nuno Espírito Santo’s side defy the odds to push for a Champions League spot.
The Super Eagles fullback, who has been praised for his consistency, athleticism, and tactical intelligence on the right flank, was included in defence alongside Virgil van Dijk, Nikola Milenkovic and Antonee Robinson.
Carragher, speaking in an interview with GOAL, reserved a spot in his back four for the Super Eagles full-back, who is now being monitored by top Premier League sides including Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham.

With his contract expiring in June, Aina is expected to attract plenty of suitors in what could be one of the summer’s most intriguing free-agent stories.
Aina, 27, has been a key figure in Forest’s transformation into one of the Premier League’s best defensive units. Whether surging forward or holding the line, the former Chelsea and Torino man has displayed a maturity and leadership that’s earned him widespread recognition.
Alongside him in Carragher’s XI are Forest teammates Nikola Milenkovic and Morgan Gibbs-White, while the likes of Mohamed Salah, Declan Rice, Alexis Mac Allister, and Alexander Isak round out a star-studded selection.
