Nigeria’s head coach, Eric Chelle, is set to unveil his final squad today, Tuesday, for the crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, Footynaija.com reports.

The Super Eagles will travel to Kigali for a pivotal clash on March 21 before hosting Zimbabwe in Uyo on March 25.

According to a Guardian report, invitations have already been sent to the selected players, with travel arrangements to Kigali finalized.

“The players will fly directly from their bases, just as they did for our last match against Benin in Abidjan,” the report disclosed. “The NFF has ensured all logistics are in place because this is a must-win game for Nigeria.”

The Super Eagles camp in Kigali will open officially on Sunday, March 16, with players expected to arrive on or before Tuesday, March 18.

Captain Ahmed Musa, currently playing for Kano Pillars in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL), has called for an all-hands-on-deck approach to the remaining qualifiers.

Speaking in Ilorin before his club’s NPFL fixture against Kwara United, the 31-year-old warned of the consequences of missing out on the World Cup.

“A whole generation of talented players would be lost, and it would weaken the confidence of upcoming footballers in Nigeria,” Musa said. “We are in a tough spot, but we still believe we can turn things around. The Super Eagles cannot afford to miss the 2026 World Cup—it would be a disaster.”

Nigeria currently sits fifth in Group C, with only three points from four matches. Musa believes the game against Rwanda could be the turning point. “If we win in Kigali, it could change everything for us,” he added. “But it’s not just about the players; every Nigerian must support the team.”

With Rwanda leading the group, the Super Eagles face an uphill battle, but all eyes will be on Chelle’s squad selection as he looks to reignite Nigeria’s World Cup hopes.
