Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers was Rangers’ saviour during their Scottish Premiership clash against Dundee FC after netting a stoppage-time winner to seal a comeback win for the Blues on his 100th appearance, Footynaija.com reports.
Dessers left it late at Dens Park on Saturday evening, scoring in the third minute of second half stoppage time to secure a 4-3 win for Barry Ferguson’s side, who trailed by two goals up until the 76th minute.
Goals from Simon Murray and Joe Shaughnessy put Dundee FC in control of the match in less than 20 minutes of first half football. However, Shaughnessy went from hero to villain after turning the ball into the back of his own net to half Rangers’ deficit just two minutes before halftime.

Dessers found the back of the net after the restart but the Nigeria international saw his goal chopped off for offside. Dundee then restored their two-goal cushion with just over an hour played courtesy of Scott Tiffony.
A quick-fire double from James Tavernier and Tom Lawrence in the 76th and 81st minutes respectively put Rangers back in business before Dessers’ crowning moment in the 93rd minute when he capitalized on a defensive error and slipped the ball beyond Dundee’s goalkeeper to seal the comeback.
In a chat with Rangers TV after the game, Dessers reflected on the game and getting such an important goal on his landmark appearance.
“It was very nice to score so late, but the 90 minutes before that were not that nice. At the end, if you can score like that in your 100th game, it is a very nice feeling,” he said.
“I know Tav and his qualities and he can give these balls, and I think it got carried a little bit by the wind.
“The defender could only get a touch, and I had good control on my chest and then slipped it past the keeper. It was an unbelievable moment, scoring an injury time winner.”
