Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal could be on the verge of making UEFA Champions League history when Barcelona face Young Boys at the Camp Nou, Soccernet.football reports.

The 17-year-old forward, already regarded as one of football’s brightest talents, has dazzled since his rapid rise from La Masia to the first team, breaking numerous records along the way.

Yamal’s performances this season have been nothing short of remarkable. With five goals and five assists in just nine matches across all competitions, he has quickly established himself as a key player for Hansi Flick’s Barcelona side.

The teenager’s poise, skill, and maturity on the field have even drawn praise from global football icons, including Cristiano Ronaldo, who tipped him as a future Ballon d’Or contender.

Tonight, Yamal has the opportunity to add another milestone to his growing list of achievements.

If he scores against Young Boys, he will become the first player under the age of 18 to score in consecutive Champions League matches.

The current record for the youngest scorer in the competition is held by his teammate Ansu Fati, who netted at 17 years and 40 days.

Yamal, who scored his first Champions League goal last month against AS Monaco at 17 years and 68 days, narrowly missed out on surpassing Fati’s record.

With Barcelona heavily favoured in the match against Young Boys, and Yamal in excellent form, history may be just 90 minutes away for the teenage sensation.

All eyes will be on him as he seeks to cement his place in Champions League lore with another stunning performance.
