Cristiano Ronaldo has voiced his support for Kylian Mbappé, tipping the French international for Ballon d’Or success and a bright future at Real Madrid, Soccernet.football reports.

The Portuguese legend shared his thoughts on his YouTube channel, praising both Mbappé’s talent and Real Madrid’s enduring stature.

Ronaldo was confident that Mbappé would thrive at Madrid, which he hailed as the “best club ever.”

He expressed faith in the club’s strong foundation, crediting their long-standing president, Florentino Pérez, and coach Carlo Ancelotti.

“I think [Mbappé] will do well. The structure of the club… it’s nice, it’s good,” Ronaldo remarked.

Highlighting Mbappé’s potential to claim the prestigious Ballon d’Or, Ronaldo added, “Mbappé can be the next golden ball [Ballon d’Or] winner. Him, [Erling] Haaland, [Jude] Bellingham, Lamine [Yamal].”

He emphasised Real Madrid’s consistent preparedness for high-pressure situations, particularly in the Champions League, dismissing the notion that their success was due to luck.

“Madrid is the kind of team they don’t rush under pressure. People say they’re lucky in the Champions [League]. No, they are not lucky. They’re prepared for this kind of moment.”

However, Ronaldo also cautioned that while Mbappé’s arrival strengthens Madrid, it’s uncertain if they will surpass last season’s performance. “If you say that Madrid is going to be better or not, we don’t know. Only God knows.”

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti recently commented that the squad is still adjusting to life with Mbappé, though the French forward showed his growing influence with two goals against Real Betis before the international break.

Madrid have had a steady start to their La Liga campaign, with two wins and two draws, but they currently trail Barcelona by four points at the top of the table.
