FC Barcelona’s rising star Lamine Yamal is making headlines with his latest move to secure a significant pay rise, Soccernet.football reports.

The young winger, who has captured the football world’s attention with his impressive performances, is now pushing for a €10 million salary, according to Elgoldigital.

Yamal’s talent has been undeniable, shining brightly both at the tail end of last season and during the European Championship, which he helped Spain to win. His rapid rise has been nothing short of spectacular, turning him into one of Europe’s most promising footballers.

Initially, Barcelona had high hopes for Yamal, but his influence has exceeded all expectations.

By the end of last season, he had become one of the key players under the guidance of Xavi Hernandez. His outstanding performance continued with the Spanish national team at the Euro, further solidifying his reputation.

Now, Yamal and his agent, Jorge Mendes, are in discussions with Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, to negotiate a contract that reflects his current performance levels.

They believe Yamal’s contribution to the team warrants a substantial salary increase. This matter is being actively addressed, and a resolution is expected in the near future.

Yamal, who is only 17 years old, feels a strong connection to Barcelona and is eager to continue his development with the club.

However, he and his team are pushing for immediate contract improvements rather than waiting until he turns 18. This approach is reminiscent of how Lionel Messi’s contracts were managed with regular renewals to match his growing influence.

As the new season approaches, Yamal is eager to take on a leadership role in Barcelona’s evolving project.

Despite having a €1 billion release clause, his salary remains a crucial issue that the club needs to address soon. The outcome of these negotiations will be closely watched as Yamal prepares to lead Barcelona into a new era.
