Mounir Nasraoui, father of Barcelona and Spain’s rising football star Lamine Yamal, was reportedly stabbed late Wednesday in a car park in Mataró, a town in north-eastern Spain, Soccernet.football understands.
The alarming incident was first reported by La Vanguardia, which cited official sources familiar with the situation.
Nasraoui, 35, was allegedly attacked and subsequently transported to Can Ruti Hospital in Badalona with what was described as serious injuries.
The incident occurred just weeks after Nasraoui watched his son make history by becoming the youngest player to appear and score at the Euro 2024 tournament.
