Paris Saint-Germain lifted their 12th Ligue 1 title this season despite not being the usual utterly dominant version of themselves Ligue 1 fans have become accustomed to watching after the departure of some big names last summer.

Les Parisiens will have the opportunity to seal a domestic double when they face Olympique Lyon in the Coupe de France final on Saturday, having lost out to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League semi finals earlier this month.

PSG star man Kylian Mbappe has announced that this season will be his last at the club as he wants to seek a fresh challenge elsewhere, and the Frenchman is set to make his last appearance for the club in the Cup final.

Soccernet.football has ranked some of Les Parisiens’ standout performers in Luis Enrique’s first season at the helm.

5. Achraf Hakimi

The Moroccan was a delight on the flanks for Les Parisiens throughout the season, occasionally showing some signs of defensive frailties but heavily compensating with his efforts in the attacking third.

Hakimi established himself as a vital member of Enrique’s setup, contributing 4 goals and 5 assists across 25 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG.

4. Gianluigi Donnarumma

Donnarumma had a few rough games and notable errors along the course of the season, but statistics indicate that the young Italian had perhaps the best season of his career this campaign.

The 25-year-old shot-stopper recorded career highs in save percentage, clean sheet percentage, and goals against per 90 minutes and the Euro 2020 winner proved to be exceptionally reliable between the posts.

3. Vitinha

Vitinha may not have started every game this season, but he was immensely impressive when on the pitch for PSG as Luis Enrique’s system of play seemed to unlock his talents.

Skillful in the final third and possessing a strong shot, the Portuguese midfielder displayed some semblance of the future star Les Parisiens expected when they signed him in the summer of 2022.

The 24-year-old Portugal international scored 7 goals and provided 4 assists across 25 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG this season.

2. Ousmane Dembele

Dembele, who joined PSG from Barcelona last summer provided the dynamic athleticism on the wing that was needed by the PSG attack to open up games.

The Frenchman led the team in assists, progressive carries, and key passes with his explosive speed proving difficult for opposition defenders to handle.

Dembele grabbed 3 goals and provided 8 assists in 28 Ligue 1 appearances for Les Parisiens this season.

1. Kylian Mbappe

Despite enduring a rough start to the season, having had to spend some time away from the first team, recover from injury and then battle poor form, Mbappe went on to show why he is considered to be one of the best players in the world right now.

The 25-year-old French attacker proved to be an all-round force on the ball with his blistering pace and incisive dribbling, a constant nightmare for opposition defenders throughout the campaign.

Mbappe notched an astonishing 27 goals and provided 7 assists in 29 Ligue 1 outings for Les Parisiens this season. The Frenchman will certainly be vital for Enrique’s side as they square up against Lyon in the Coupe de France final.
