Cristiano Ronaldo has encouraged Al Nassr to target his former Juventus teammate, Paulo Dybala, for their next major signing, Soccernet.football reports.

With the 2023-24 season nearing its end and few trophies to show, Al Nassr are already planning for the next season. The club is preparing for significant changes to the squad.

Ronaldo is particularly keen on bringing Dybala to Al Nassr, despite the club also being linked with Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, and former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

Dybala, currently a key player for Roma, could be considering a move. Although he has been a central figure at Roma since leaving Juventus two years ago, his 12-year stint in Europe may come to an end this summer.

Reports from Argentine journalist Lucas Gatti, as compiled by @ByanNassr, indicate Ronaldo wants Dybala to join him at Al Nassr.

The duo previously played together at Juventus from 2018 to 2021, sharing success and lifting two Serie A titles, the Super Cup, and an Italian Cup.

Signing Dybala, who is under contract with Roma until 2025, would require a transfer fee but money is no trouble for Al Nassr. If the Saudi Pro League club can secure the Argentine’s signature, it would be a significant boost for the team. This season, Dybala scored 16 goals and provided 10 assists in 37 games.

While Al Nassr fans hope Ronaldo’s request is fulfilled, there is a potential downside. Sadio Mane, who joined Al Nassr from Bayern Munich last year and is under contract until 2026, might be leaving.

Reports suggest Mane is attracting interest from two clubs. Al Qadsiah FC, newly promoted to the Saudi Pro League, and Turkish champions Galatasaray are both keen on signing the winger.

Galatasaray’s interest is particularly notable as they will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season, offering Mane a return to European football.
