Ola Aina has reached the highest market value of his career, despite having just three months left on his Nottingham Forest contract, Footynaija.com reports.

The Nigerian international, who has impressed in the Premier League this season, is now valued at €20 million (₦33.6 billion) following an update from Transfermarkt on March 18.

Aina is now Nottingham Forest’s ninth most valuable player and Nigeria’s sixth, behind Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Victor Boniface, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey.

The Chelsea academy graduate had been valued at €14 million in December 2024, but his performances have seen a sharp rise in his stock.

Aina has been a key figure in Forest’s defence, with no player across Europe’s top five leagues recovering possession in the defensive third more often this season.

Since arriving on a free transfer in 2023, the 28-year-old full-back has made 52 Premier League appearances, scoring three goals and providing two assists. His versatility has been crucial for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side, operating at right-back, left-back, and as a wingback when required.

With contract talks still unresolved, speculation about Aina’s future is growing. Manchester City are monitoring his situation, though they have not made a formal approach. Meanwhile, Turkish champions Galatasaray have also been linked with the Nigerian defender.
