Newly-promoted Premier League side Hull City are reportedly weighing up a move for Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign, Footynaija.com reports.
Hull are expected to bolster their options in midfield after securing promotion to the English top flight, with the experienced Nigerian emerging as one of the club’s potential targets as they prepare for the challenge of Premier League football, according to The Hard Tackle.
Ndidi joined Turkish Super Lig outfit Besiktas from Leicester City last summer and quickly established himself as one of the Black Eagles’ most dependable performers. He made 31 appearances across all competitions while contributing two goals and one assist. His impressive performances also earned him the role of vice-captain.

The former Genk midfielder is attracting interest from elsewhere, with Manchester United also believed to be monitoring his situation as they assess midfield reinforcements. Several Saudi Pro League clubs have likewise been credited with an interest, although Besiktas are reportedly unwilling to sanction his departure for anything less than €8 million.
Despite the growing speculation surrounding his future, Ndidi is expected to report for Besiktas’ preseason training camp in Slovakia after concluding his summer break in Nigeria. The Nigerian international is also set to hold talks with new head coach Vincenzo Italiano over his role in the squad before joining his teammates in preparation for the new season.
Ndidi remains under contract with Besiktas until 2028, meaning any club hoping to secure the services of the Super Eagles skipper this summer will likely have to meet the Turkish giants’ valuation.
Unless a suitable offer arrives in the coming weeks, the experienced Super Eagles midfielder is expected to continue his preseason preparations as normal while the uncertainty surrounding his future continues.
