“Things can change quickly” – Musiala gives verdict on Bayern future

Jamal Musiala has revealed that he isn’t thinking too far ahead as things can change quickly in the world of football, leaving his long-term future with Bayern Munich open to speculation, Soccernet.football reports.

Musiala’s contract is set to expire in 2026, and the Bavarians may face a tough fight to retain him, as top clubs across Europe are closely monitoring the potential availability of the 21-year-old.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2020, the Germany international has established himself as one of the most talented young players in the world, becoming an integral part of both Bayern’s and the German national team setup.

Despite Bayern’s disappointing performance in the 2023/2024 campaign, Musiala notched 13 goals in all competitions. He finished the season as the second top scorer for the Bavarians behind Harry Kane.

Thanks to his immense talent and potential to become even better, several top European sides are understandably interested in acquiring his services. However, the youngster insists he’s not focused on what will happen after his current deal expires.

“I am very happy at Bayern and I am fully focused on our goals with the club and the national team,” Musiala told Die Welt.

“I’m not too focused on where I’ll be playing in five years’ time. Things can change quickly in the world of football.”

Musiala’s former teammate, Joshua Zirkzee, who was recently on vacation with him in the United States, revealed to a fan that he had attempted to persuade the Bayern star to join Manchester United.

“You always joke with friends and dream of playing together in one team. The jokes go both ways: I also told Josh that he should come back to Bayern. But you can’t take it too seriously,” the German explained.
