EFL Championship outfit, Hull City, have been boosted by the availability of Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi ahead of this weekend’s trip to The Kassam Stadium for a clash against Oxford United, Footynaija.com reports.
Ajayi went away with Nigeria during the March international break and featured for the first 45 minutes of his country’s hard-fought 2-1 over Iran at an invitational friendly international tournament in Antalya, Turkey.
However, the 32-year-old central defender developed a fitness concern ahead of their second match against Jordan and was ultimately ruled out of the game as the Super Eagles battled to a 2-2 draw against Al Nashama at the Mardan Stadyumu on Tuesday.

Despite Ajayi’s absence from Nigeria’s final game, it appears Hull City have nothing to worry about in terms of the experienced defender’s fitness as they prepare to resume EFL Championship action in Oxfordshire this weekend.
According to latest reports from Hull Live, Ajayi underwent training sessions upon his return to England and all the signs point towards him being fit enough to be part of Hull City’s travelling squad on Thursday.
Ajayi has been an important player for the Tigers this season despite multiple spells on the sidelines. Barring any last minute setback, the Nigeria international should feature prominently at the Kassam Stadium on Friday afternoon.

Hull City will be aiming for a winning return to Championship action as they look to build on that comprehensive 3-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday just before the international break.
With Hull looking to maintain a firm grip on their promotion play-offs spot and Oxford United seeking to exit the relegation zone, the result of this clash could potentially have significant ramifications for both clubs at the top and bottom ends of the Championship table.
